Meet Master Mingjiu 玄虚道人 · Xuanxu Daoren
An inheritor of the authentic Shangqing lineage of Maoshan Taoism, Master Mingjiu received his ritual teachings through direct master-to-disciple transmission.
In a state of meditative stillness, he experienced a profound dream-state connection with the ancestral masters—an encounter he regards as the awakening of his innate understanding of Taoist talisman painting. Since then, brush, ink and ritual have become one continuous practice: a disciplined way of carrying the Dao into visible form.
Following orthodox Taoist rites, he brings together Maoshan talismanic tradition, metaphysical Feng Shui principles and the refined language of Chinese calligraphy. Each hand-drawn work is created as both sacred ritual art and a meaningful object for the home—traditionally associated with protection, blessing, auspicious beginnings and the harmonising of household energy.
He conveys the Dao through brush and ink, and offers blessings through talismans to those with whom the work finds its destined connection.
